12/3/2023 0 Comments The Beginning and The EndHello to the few who stumble upon this little pile of soliloquies. Allow me to briefly describe this journey. After decades of denying psychic/intuitive experience, I surrendered to it. With that new openness came a parade of helpers, teachers, friends, and allies. Visible and invisible. And revelations too big for this human container to hold. Struggle, battle, descents and losses. Foolishness, avoidance, and stubborn refusals. Then...somehow...integration. Allowance. Being. There's forty years in that paragraph. David Bowie once said an artist is not functional in the world. Metaphysical gurus of all types have shared that one's ascension process typically requires period(s) of insanity. Jung traversed this space in his Red Book. You are challenging the default frames of reality that offer your amorphous mind firm handles. A structure for "reality." You were given a convenient steering wheel. Letting it go is insanity. This is a state in which pure creativity can thrive. It's also a place where holding tightly to handles tears your psyche. The edge of sanity is where magic can happen. For evidence, I present to you planet Earth. FreedomWhen a laboratory chimpanzee is finally liberated to a preserve, it often does not charge right out of the cage environment it has only ever known. It may take hours or days for the primate to attempt the terrifying transition to wide open space. You see, it's a lot easier to move them from one cage into another, ad infinitum. Putting these ideas together, you can see Metaphysics and "Ascension Process" as another set of convenient frames and handles, and little more than that. The seeker moves from a familiar set of handles and steering wheels to this "higher" set. We call it spiritual, mystical, or metaphysical. But they're convenient contrivances as much as the conventional ones we liberated ourselves from. From one box into another. And letting them go, you can in fact go insane again. Not a problem. Steps toward freedom. In a dream I once explored underground caverns beneath a prison, flooded to the top with water. A group of us SCUBA'd through the cold, dark waters. I somehow knew I could take off my mask and breathe water. And eventually did. I think this is the sort of insane invitation some find in their path. If it's part of your journey, it's inescapable it seems. Or else you might move from one cage to the next, a stack ultimately reaching from the Earth to the highest heights you can imagine....but no further. I suspect for those who choose an ever-evolving path, groundedness and insanity are competing phases of an eternal cycle. The way of the infinite. You see this in the creation and destruction of solar systems, for example. So I suppose I'm saying this journey of mine has been about getting comfortable being a star.
